Open Letter Regarding an Incident at The Alliance Community

Dear Heather,

I am writing to address an incident that occurred at The Alliance Community while I was visiting Ms. Barbara Aho at her invitation. During that visit, you entered Ms. Aho’s apartment, informed me that I was “not supposed to be here,” and referred to me as a “dangerous felon.” You then stated that you would call Ms. Aho’s youngest son, Mr. Robert Aho, regarding my presence.

I wish to clarify that I have never been convicted of any crime, and therefore the characterization of me as a “dangerous felon” is untrue. While I understand that you may have had concerns at the time, your statement was both inaccurate and defamatory. 

In light of all this, I need to ask you one question: by whose authority did you call Robert Aho regarding my visit with Barbara, a visit to which I was expressly invited by her? I am seeking clarification so that I can understand the basis for your actions, who directed or empowered you to intervene, and what policies or guidelines you believe justified that call.

Please explain, in writing, the authority under which you acted.

A few months ago, you came to Barbara Aho’s apartment at The Alliance Community while I was visiting Barbara at her request. You said to me, “You’re not supposed to be here.” When I asked why, you replied, “Because you’re a dangerous felon.” When I told you that I have never been convicted of any crime, you responded, “Now I’ve got to call Rob,” referring to Barbara’s youngest son, Robert Aho.
I have one question: By whose authority do you call Robert Aho?
Robert Aho has not signed a contract with The Alliance Community and, according to his mother, has never contributed any money toward her rent.
Allow me to elaborate further.
1. I have known Barbara Aho for more than 20 years. I married her on 11/22/21. Robert Aho is my stepson. You threatened me with my own stepson?
2. Although I have never been convicted of a crime, Robert Aho does have a criminal record.
3. I have been a born-again Christian for 30 years, whereas Robert Aho and his wife, Sharon, are merely Christian professors.
4. You said that I am a dangerous felon. Did Robert Aho tell you that? Perhaps he has confused me with his brother, Neil (see the enclosed information).
5. I could disclose much more about Robert Aho (as well as his sister, Molly Rickenbach, and his aunt, Carol Bost), but I will refrain for now.

2. Although I have never been convicted of a crime, it is my understanding that Robert Aho does have a criminal record.
3. I have been a born-again Christian for 30 years. By contrast, Robert Aho and his wife, Sharon, are, to my knowledge, Christian in name only.
4. You stated that I am a dangerous felon. Did this information come from Robert Aho? It is possible he has confused me with his brother, Neil (see the enclosed material).
5. There is considerably more that could be disclosed regarding Robert Aho, as well as his sister, Molly Rickenbach, and his aunt, Carol Bost, but that information is being withheld at this time.
